This Beaker Base is wonderful - great volume, super thick (20mm) base and spotlessly & easily cleanable. I use filtered ZeroWater and because of the quality of the glass, it is extremely non-porous and the combination resists build up of gunk as well as making cleaning a breeze!!! * Borosilicate glass is a type of glass with silica and boron trioxide as the main glass-forming constituents. Borosilicate glasses are known for having very low coefficients of thermal expansion (≈3 × 10−6 K−1 at 20 °C), making them more resistant to thermal shock than any other common glass. Borosilicate glass is also lead and BPA-free, making it perfectly safe for use as drinking glasses. True borosilicate glass is actually safer than tempered soda-lime glass, which is what many companies currently use to make kitchenware.

If you own any Vitae pieces, this classic beaker is a must have. The modular design allows for easy cleaning that doesn’t take a long time. I use a different downstem with it because of personal preference, but you cannot go wrong with this piece.

I had recently purchased the tri-portal, which I love. I just had a bit on an issue if I used the ice catcher. That's why I decided to try the beaker. This is my FAVORITE! You might say, it's my precious. Great hits, as big or as small as you want. Super easy to clean. And it looks AMAZING! I "highly" recommend.
